As this is my first post, I’d like to introduce myself and my objectives in maintaining this site. My name is Darron Johnson, and I’m the head of Technical Services at a localization company called Wordbank LLC. I have an educational and professional background in linguistics, technology and computer-assisted learning. I recently attended DevLearn 2009, and that started me on my quest for a forum in which the technological and global implementation challenges of e-learning are discussed. I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for…so here we are.

I will strive to post about topics that are both relevant to the state of the art and practical in application. I fully acknowledge that my droplet of expertise is limited in the resource cloud that is web 2.0. I encourage an active community in which subscribers and casual browsers comment and discuss the challenges facing Learning 2.0.
